The world today reduces in complexity in my eyes,
Patterns emerge and things become simple,
An association of intricacy non-existent
Looking for depth where there is none
Finding clarity in things complicated.
The matrix is revealed.
Lost no more in circuitous waste.

Somewhere deep down you belong here,
OR maybe you don't.
This world around you,
With buildings and vehicles
and people of a kind
Is this the world you chose,
Knowing yourself or unknowingly.
A construct of choice,
Of wilful consent.
But are you sure you want to be here
In the eternity that is this moment here
The collective cellular consciousness
Is awake within you
Seek out its questions
and answers.

An honest thought in a moment of truth
Seen for a fleeting moment what you can be
Spending each day in the arms of mediocrity
and dying a slow death
The elixir of life
The true things about you
Is the fleeting moment
Which can turn into a lifetime of truth
If you want it to .

The first smell of desire
In something your heart begins to take notice in
Sneaking upon you liking an unsuspecting victim
The doors to the room of desire are always left open
They feed upon you as you upon them
The eyes always look up
The hands are always outstretched
In this room of desire.
There are numerous doors uncounted
In this room of desire.
The kernel of a desire becomes the
Oak tree of passion
and engulfs all in its wake
and grows in the room of desire
Continuousy fed with fire of want
which is occasionally satisfied and
Sometimes dies a painful death
Till another kernel is planted.

Crossing meadows in the day and shadows at night
Living a life of aimless wandering among the myriad of faces
Spotting suffering and pain
Laughter and happiness
A day in the sun
And a night in the darkness
Faces transform
Into tomorrow and years go by.
Faces transform into good and hopeful
Calm and unkind
A lifetime written on their faces
of lives well spent and wasted.

It's been raining continuously for the last few days. It's manipal all over again.
It's one of the most depressing seasons although the good part is that I have enough work to keep me indoors during the weekend.
Saturday's prediction is sunny.....maybe I'll get a day in the sun.

Although you would assume that today's world is extremely connected and it would be next to natural to stay in touch, au contraire, that is many times not the case. People take more time to change than technology updates and it's my strong feeling that we're still in the rock age of communication as far as reality is concerned. There are many factors why this is so. Take a moment and think on it.
As far as life is concerned in my part of the world....it goes on.

"The Mechanisms of the Mind".... a very fascinating book. It opens your mind and gives you a picture of how we think and learn. After reading this book during my college years, there was a long pause during which I did not explore the world of de Bono. Recently, I came across his personal website www.edwarddebono.com and was introduced to the idea of a thinking club. This is my next personal project. To learn more about the Thinking club, visit http://www.edwarddebono.com/thinking0.htm

Where is the world going ?
Amidst the daily frenzy of working in a Virology Lab and attending graduate classes in Engineering school....I wonder where everything is going. Are people really becoming happier....are they really living longer ?
Is the pace of today too fast ?
I have read somewhere there is an underground movement where people are unconsciously resisting the fast pace of life. I seem to do it sometimes myself. It's called laziness in today's world.
Makes me think a lot about the thin line between being lazy and pausing to find direction in life because one step in the right direction is worth more than infinite in the wrong.
Exams are around the corner and life is going faster than usual. It's during these times when my mind kicks into high gear of poetry.Time to get back to some work.
