Sometimes in thoughts and dreams,
I see the man that can be,
I see the world that can be,
Dreams of today become refracted realities tomorrow.
Never knowing where it will take me,
Answering urges today and following dim lights to reach the fire.
The world I see,
The people I feel and exist with,
Memories strong and deep,
Rise and ebb,
Like ocean tides.
Across seven seas,
I feel my consciousness reaching out,
To touch another human soul,
To know that I exist.
All that is real to me,
All that I ask for in prayers,
Dreams of my ancestors call out to me,
To plant that kernel of a dream,
In unaccustomed earth.
